I'd recommend a open cone filter to replace the standard airbox mate.

Really? I thought open would be really bad for heatsoak as you can't really have tonnes of cold air feeds all around it

You dont realy need to think about heat soak on a turbo car (what do you think the turbo is going to do? it will heat the air anyway), pluss you have a very good intercooler in the Seat Sport one

A big open cone filter will flow more air than the OEM airbox, regardles of a 'urpated' panel filter. More air = more power

I could flow 185-190g/s on my old ibiza

I may as well chuck it here as its relevant to the last few posts!

In terms of open filter, what is recommended, I've read about it being best to go for a non-oiled one, as the oil's can mess up some of the sensors

Car is a cupra in question too.

Got my Cupra remapped yesterday by will @ p-torque.
Standard it made 175.5 bhp & 167 lb/ft of torque
stage 1 made 214.2 bhp & 248 lb/ft of torque.

Pleased with the results, pulls much harder and feels alot better!
can hear the turbo more as well which is nice. got will to stick a forge 007 dv on

A tiny bit down on standard power (180bhp) but a good result from the remap. Will works his magic again....

Yeh was expecting him to say 205 or something, but am happy with the results. definately a different car to drive now. his service was second to none and like somebody said before, i was a bit cheeky and asked for stickers and he gave me two! i was in and out in just over an hour. did the dv and panel filter too.
