SO SO the right choice.
If I was in the market for another fast family car I would be looking at the MK2 LC.
Be very careful not to mod the engine too much as they are failing.
Stage 2+ REVO with conservative 330BHP 330 ft-lbs will be amazing.
Handlings good out of the box, needs better suspension for the track though.
Brakes are as good if not better than the Brembo's but need different pads and discs to solve the fade issue.
Apart from that they are a BIG leap ahead of the MK1 LCR

I was going to put KW v3s on straight away and then wait for the weather to buck up next year and go fuel pump, intake, full exhaust and stage 2+.
That is the plan anyway.. but I change my mind alot!!!

Everything is on hold at the minute as I am working in the US and will be for the next few months.
Thoughts for my next car have moved away from VAG atm tho! Something rwd and track friendly I am thinking!

Seems like a good idea if you make the right choice. You clearly love the track and a rwd weapon would be natural progression from the LCR which has served you well upto here.

Looking at 350z's and S2000's and half thinking about Z4M coupes and E46 M3s Clubsports!! It all depends on when I come back from the US and how my pay reivew goes next year. Nothing will be happening until atleast March, so I imagine I will change my mind numerous times between now and then!
I think you would be dissappointed with any of the above after a modded LCR.
The LCR would see off all of the above on the track and youd be hosed off if your on the track and a LCR comes flying past you.
Best off going for something you can increase the power easily to a good figure.
I know you can turbo all of the above.
But then again what can you increase the power easily that will give you RWD action??
To be honest I think my local trackdays are going to be very limited this year due to the new job not giving much holiday, and being all over the place! The car will be used for business use, and for a few long weekends at the nurburgring - where I think most of the above, with a decent setup and tyres, would be quicker than the LCR was.. but it will also be for the experience of learning to drive a RWD on track. Supercharging is always an option on the Jap crap too!
I am also considering getting back into karting this year, so this could affect my budget alot! I recently test drove an Aixro kart and it was one of the craziest things I've ever driven.. very very tempted to get into this race series. 50bhp, 180kilos inc. driver...!!
