Weird similarities going on here..

Mind grinded into second the other day, then was unable to put into 1st right after? However soon after pulling away in 2nd and then using all the gears 1st was fine...

However sometimes it doesn't go right into the 1st gear easily...

same as mine, sometimes if i put me foot down in 1st & 2nd afterwards it doesnt 'slide' back into 1st or 2nd easily....confusing?!

also after speaking to a mecanic last night he said it might be best to replace all the bushes to uprated ones just incase they are all in the same state as the screwed bush...whats your opinon? change all of them or leave them?

if i do change all of them (which i am thinking of doing for piece of mind) what ones do i need to change? I know the ARB bushes are ones that would need changing

Mine does the same when cold, although it never grinds or anything. It just doesn't quite go into gear, you have to put it back in neutral, de-clutch and then try again. Also does the same in reverse sometimes.

There's no real requirement to change them all, it's only the rear wishbone bushes that are a voided bush (and therefore they break!), all the others are much more solid. I would recommend doing the ARB bushes as well but it's important that the garage check the collars on the ARB for corrosion. If the collars are corroded there will be play in the ARB, which causes a knocking noise.
