My old Ibiza 2010 1.4 Style Crono Yellow were destroyed in a fire so i'll be getting a new Ibiza 2011 with:
- 1.2 TSI Manual Ecomotive
- ST
- Style ED
- Tow bar
- Candy White
- Climatronic

Do you think i'll notice any difference between the two engines? (Good or bad)

I can't wait!

:)

Tsi will defo be better. What the heck happened to the other one? Purposefully torched or accidental?

The difference in the engines is startling. On the motorway with the old engine you need to change down for steep hills etc. With the 1.2 TSI you fly up them (and see the mpg meter take a dive down as you do it!)

I've been eyeing one of these Mk5 1.2 TSI, your new car sounds a great spec.

I'm curious as to which one you chose, the 60PS, 70PS, or the 105PS?

the 1.2 tsi is the 105bhp 16v engine that is pretty fast, ive test drove 1 :) the 60/70bhp is the 3 cylinder 12v engine that doesnt move at all and with a top speed of 99mph and you'd probably struggle to get that if im honest, and thats what the salesman told me lol :)

Ah I see, thanks for the info :) Now I'm even more impatient to get one!

if your getting the 1.2 tsi youll love it mate, i test drove 1 and it was rapid for a 1.2 i was shocked, i was going have the exact same car before my boc, but even on motorways it pulls through everygear like you want it too, up hills and everything mate its a really good car :)

I believe the 1.2 TSi is an 8v engine, it would cream the old 1.4 16v unit

Great to hear :) the car next to mine in the parking lot was put on fire and mine burned out as well... I'll post a pic or video when i get back home. Then you'll never have to wonder what a yellow ibiza with flames on it would look like ^^

Sad as it is, R.I.P, i really look forward to my new improved ibiza! Just hope I'll like the Color as much as my yellow one.

It'll be a little while yet, I'm still doing 100+ miles each day so the PD100 Mk4 will have to stay until I've moved.
At least there might be some good used examples floating about by then. It sounds a great combo of cheap(er) running costs and a bit of a giggle.

@OakNinja when does the new car arrive into your expectant hands? :)
