We have lift-off!

First decent quote from a local firm that was recommended by someone I trust. The quote to paint and fit the spoiler comes in at 70 quid!

Thats more like it! :)

Well I got another quote in for £85 this morning, so had a wee think for a couple of hours and went for the cheapest quote as the spray shop came recommended by someone I know in the motor trade.

Spoiler delivered for spraying and they say it should be ready for fitting next Tues. They said they'd need the car for a about 4 hours to let the window bond dry. Sounds fine to me. :)

Well Ladies and Gents, that's the spoiler fitted! :)

Got a phone call this morning saying spoiler was sprayed, and if convenient, could I drop my car in before mid day and they would fit the part and have the Ibiza ready for collection by 5PM! They didn't have to ask twice, the car was there 20mins later! lol Just as well I worked 10mins up the road! ;)

Well they were good as their word, got a call at half-four saying the spoiler was fitted and ready to go!

Hard to give a full verdict on the spoiler as it has been chucking it down all day, but the workmanship appeared to be very good. When I dropped my car off, I did get a quick look at the spoiler before it was fitted and the paint looked like a quality job.

Will hopefully be able to get a pic of the completed job in the next few days if it stops raining for long enough!!! LOL ;)

Good to hear this!

I'm sure it looks fab and completely transforms the back. Hope you're happy with it!

Thanks, Char :)

Well it stopped raining for long enough yesterday for me to give the car a wash and have proper look at the job.

Happy to say the work is first-rate! Have taken photos and will post soon. :)

Going to have a go at posting pics on here. Not the best of photos as they were taken in a hurry using my phone and the car was still wet from a brief shower. Not the best location either - they were taken in a school car park as I was there fixing computers... Hopefully they'll give you an idea. :) I'll get some more arty ones done another time! lol

I am really pleased with the spoiler, think it really finishes off the rear of the car nicely. :D Final couple of pics was to let you see the full car, just for the sheer hell of it! lol

Looking good.

NOW - a pair of cupra black headlights and a carbon wrap on the front grill chrome will see it looking even better - haha

Looks so much better, I agree with the black headlights and the chrome on the front grille.

Love the FR alloys though, the best ones out of the lot.

Cupra headlights do look good and may be on my list for future mods.

As my car is effectively also the works van my next mods will be to make it more abuse-proof! Lol Already bought a flexible load liner for the boot and next on the list is a nice set of stainless sill protectors. Not paying Seat UK prices though. Theres a good german site with nice FR ones. :)

After that I am going to see about making the FR faster! ;)

I really want a spoiler, it finishes off the back end nicely. I just can't comprehend spending a few £100 on a piece of plastic though! :(

And as above, get the tinted headlights, looks much better! :D

I know what you mean, mate! However if you are lucky you can grab yourself a bargain off eBay/Gumtree or similar. The spoiler job cost me £137 in total which ain't too bad given the improvement it brings to the looks of the car. :)

Yea suppose £137 isnt too bad, but i would probably be lazy and just go straight to Seat and tell them to sort everything out!

Tonezz be careful with that strategy... The local Seat dealer wanted a to charge me £180 to paint and an additional £30 to fit my spoiler! I also bet they'd have charged the full RRP of £105 if they had to supply the spoiler... :(

That would have been a grand total of £315 if I had asked the dealer to do everything... Bit of a difference to the £137 I paid! ;) lol

You may be luckier with your dealer though... :)
