Right. The garage have drained the car and took it apart. The pick up pipe was blocked and they found metal filings in the filter/sump. Can't remember. They rekon the metal has come from the oil pump which is fooked. The are going to flush it all out put it back together and fingers crossed it will be running fine again. I think all in all it's cost about £340 for all of that.

Right. Another update.
Got a phone call to say the car was ready to get. Went to the garage paid them £329.57. That was for

Suction pipe. Seal ring. Oil filter. Engine oil. Oil pump. Last but not least the labour.
Drove home everything was fine. Went to get petrol and things went downhill. Took it back to the garage and the problem got worse. They rekon there might be something wrong with the crank shaft/bearings?
I don't know alot about engines, but if that's not the case could I be looking at dare I say it... Engine rebuild??

Looks like you did :(

Ha ha. Yeah they couldn't take it for a proper test drive once they thought they had fixed it as it didn't have hardly any fuel in it. My heart sank when I started to hear/feel a problem just an hour after having it back. Fingers crossed it nothing to serious/expensive.
