back to the leak my car was/ is leaking from the speakers, in my case its cause ive had new speakers fitted.
I'm guessing in your case whenever they fixed your window they might have bent the part where the speaker sits( technical) slightly so there might b a gap like in mine that needs sealing.

yes, you have VVT and K03s turbo.

K03s is a new design turbo that is more efficient. with K03s you can get up to 230-250bhp, this is not possible on the old K03.
both the K03 and the K03s can be found on either the 150bhp 1,8T (not leon) and the 180bhp 1,8t engine, it depends on the year/engine code whether it has the k03 or the K03s.

the VVT head is not different to the non-vvt head.
the non-vvt head has a chain tensioner, and the VVT head has a chain tensioner with electronic camshaft adjuster. the head it self is the same.
VVT is commonly known to only be there for emissions purposes, its dos somethink like the EGR systems do on other cars, the VVT lets the engine draw exhaust gasses back into the cylinders by doing massive overlap.

Hi all,

I know this is an old thread but what was the cause of the blockage in your sump n1ff? Think I have a similar issue.

It's an oil blockage. Poor quality oil gets stuck in the sump and the turbo oil pipe is run from the sump. Clean your sump and the oil pickup pipe. If left the turbo pipe gets block and bang goes the turbo. Expensive error but least I got a modified k04 out of it.

Regular oil changes will stop the oil pick up pipe from becoming blocked, and if you are going to remove the sump just buy a new pick up pipe, they are only about £10, its not worth the hassle of cleaning the old one, a blocked pick up pipe wont only kill the turbo it will kill the top end as it will be starved of oil.

My pipe blocked and it killed the turbo. My top end was completely untouched. Change the oil regularly and you should never have this problem.
