Exterior door handle lights

Instead of going all the way through headlining you can just splice Into the correct cables that run down the a pillar just use the little clip tool that splices into the wires without a need of terminal blocks, soldering etc

Like this , I installed puddle lights that work with the interior light so when you unlock they come on and when you start car they fade out

What colour wires did you splice into shep?

i was going to splice into the wires in the A pillar but there are so many in there so tightly wrapped it would have taken me ages to find out which were the correct wires and then get enough access to them

You can go to the interior light and find out the correct wire but I was just being lazy lol

Edit: I spliced the brown/black wire and the red/black wire.

Looks smart that mate i had footwell lights in wired up to the dimmer switch and got on my nerves in about a day so ripped them all out.

Yeah i thought about soldering them but knowing my luck il drop it on the seat or something so went for the safer option

yeah wish id of thought of doing it that way instead. Might do it again with white lights the way you've done it looks good ! did you use strip lights ?

Yea just an led strip coated in flexible plastic. All in all it cost about £7-£8 altogether so very cheap. Next is under mirrors and door handles lol

Ive done under the mirrors really helps you stepping in sh*t and muck, theres some pics on my photobucket coz i was gonna make a guide but never got round to it they might help you out a bit

Yea for mirrors and door handles I'm Gunna use the wires that go to the footwell so they come on with door switch as well as unlocking
