Replacing sidelight bulbs in non-HID headlamp unit

Hi, I've just spent half an hour trying to replace a sidelight bulb in one of my headlamp units and given up! Has anyone managed to do this? I've got the standard non-HID headlamps and although I can see the bulbs from the front I just can't find them from the inside! Has anyone managed to do this and if so what's the trick?

MY2011, Exeo SE Tech - Standard (Non-HID) headlamps.

I have just had the adventure of replacing the 4 sidelight bulbs on my '09 exeo - its a struggle but can be done (and the cuts and grazes have healed nicely). its just a case of having a good feel around, removing the dipped bulb and using a small mirror like a make up mirror does help.
