Changed cts coolant is now fine temp gauge problem

I squeezed all my pipes and ran it for a while and it self bled.

Just done it my o ring was a bit different to the old one the old one went on outside my oring had a slit in it to go all round the circumference of the stat and half sits on inside and half sit on outside u hear of that before

Will take an age for the thermostat to open sat on the road needs to be driven

1.9 tdi Leon 110 brake so heaters working fine gauge going up if I take it for a drive it should open the thermostat everywhere else is hot apart from thermostat hose

Maybe the dirty diesel is different than the petrol?

That o ring that come with it seems to be fine it's not leaking from the housing. When the thermostats in does it matter which way round the top end goes I put it so that the bar was like 12 o'clock to 6 oclock

Yeah I read the guide then I read someone else's and there's put me off lol about having to have flanges and all the rest of it.

lol when you do try it your self dont try and pick up the bolt when you undo it,about to bolt it it all up just when the bolts drops i try and pick it up and its gone lol ....(note to self rem the magnetic pick up )

Just turned my engine off in a practice panic thinking that it was pissing out some where but really I think it was coming from the undertray.

Stat has opened now all pipes are hot I Swueezed all the pipes left the cap open heaters where on hot car got upto 90 on gauge no drops from underneath car that shud be it right

It is leaking coolant when I drive Could it just be going out the overflow of the bottle

No overflow on the bottle is there?

If it is left side of engine could be pump seal as long as all pipes check ok for no leasks

i know from my own leak that was pretty small nothing major but still leaking abit and i was putting this down to the seal being old and wrecked like,after taking it off it looked pretty fooked.
when you changed the stat did you dry off the area off?(underneath the pipe)if so then i would of checked when warming it up checking for leaks,and if you did undo the bottom hose under there also but tbh it should all be tight once back on....

Dude you need a mechanic. Take it somewhere to get it sorted if your struggling.
