can you change the gear knob on ibiza cupra?

iv got a ibiza cupra and want to try and change the gear knob its abit faded and don't really like it.
iv tried taking it off bunt doesn't seem to want to

ah right ye so you'd have to cut the gear knob off and screw a new one on?
where to did you get the short shifter kit from and is it easy to fit?

I changed the whole mechanism to a b&m kit not cheap
You can get two types of kit one that shortens the throw at the gearbox keeping the original shifter
Or get a internal kit ( b&m copy ) off eBay and like that replaces the shifter and gearknob and can be fitted from inside the car despite what the instructions tell you
This is a better idea if you want to do both things eg change the gear knob and fit a short shift kit

Stick in 4th and pull really hard it will pop off

Pull the silver surround and then lift the leather gaitor up
And there is like a pinch hose clip holding it on u need to
Cut it off then hey presto it pulls off
