Spent hours reading through threads last night and most seem to be aimed at the LCR so I'm none the wiser...

I'm after a decent FMIC for the Cupra for under £250.

So what? where? :D

Oh... the hoses must be black..

The stock cooler isn't the best in the world and honestly any cooler that is going to cost £250 or less is going to be debateable. If you go for a universal or, also be prepare to spend a lot of time and more money for making up the boost pipework.

We can offer the Forge FMIC which is a direct replacement for the stock cooler and works fantastic!

Forge FMIC for Leon Cupra

Also note that we can offer FREE fitting on this cooler OR You can have £70.00 back in Awesome vouchers and FREE shipping to UK Mainland!

Hope this helps!

Awesome Mike

I believe the "Wellycooler" is way too big for common use, a large part is covered by the bumper and thus "unused". Also the radiator gets shielded too much, which could give problems in the summer. Go for a smaller one, unless you are chasing big power...

The Welly cooler is only around £200!!! It'll take a day or less to fit and everyone that's fitted one (including to K03 A3 and MKIV Golf GTI) have been over the moon with them. If you want to spend more money on an inferior or at best equal product that's up to you. Don't belive me do a google search. I'm not trying to be a smart arse just trying to help you guys out. It's not to big for a K03 car. As the bummper is not an air tight fit you will still get air flow(obviously not as much) around the hole core. Far better flow than the standard positioning of the side mount.
I've said my piece I'm off lol.

my twinpass that i made up serves me well and i only spent 160 quid making mine up, yes its a twinpass cooler and some may say its restrictive, but i havnt noticed that the car is much much better, also for now i wanted the engine bay to remain stock with out the charge pipe from a single pass being routed down past the battery,

Im more than happy with it, and it deffo seems to do the job very well :)

the wellycooler as you lot call cough toyosport, is proven time and timing again to out perform forge fmic on lc and lcr fact , so awesome statements imo as no substance cause clearly they haven't used one on there set up , there is so far no negatives it come with 2.5" pipe work works great no laggy issues and summer as been an issue , negatives comments are only said by people who haven't used it you just need to look at all the highest powered k04 cars and k03s cars on niki's dyno and see what cooler they're running

Cheers all... happy to go down the Wellycooler route as there is a chance I will be going hybrid so may as well do the job properly eh?

Can anyone point me in the direction of cooler, hoses and hard pipes?

I found a couple of rough guides on here so confident for the install (apart from cutting my car!) so is mainly the components...

Anyone fitted to pre-facelift LC?
