Hi guys..

I've got a lot of K04 parts laying around so going to fit them to my Mk3 Cupra..

I've spoken to a few people and think I've come up with a list of everything that's needed if anyone could confirm that would be great..

K04 Turbo
S3/Leon Cupra R/TT 225 Exhaust manifold
Oil & Water lines for turbo
3" MAF housing
3" TIP
BAM injectors & rail

Downpipe???? I spoke to mc funbot about that last night but struggling to remember..

Any other parts I need??

Rods? As in engine internals??

Downpipe is something I'm expecting to mess around with.. Got told a couple of options with that last night

i wouldnt even entertain a k04 setup without doing rods. rods are like a time bomb just on k03s never mind more.
do it properly and save yourself the hassle later or dont do it atall is my advice

Sorry to hijack his thread, I'm just finishing fitting a ko3s hybrid to my mates mk3 ibiza.

I've got the 286cc injectors and just need to sort the MAF to complete it ready for mapping. Is it the complete 3"maf I need or just the housing and fit the original sensor from the old maf? I've read numerous posts and they all seem to say different things.

Also does anyone have any part numbers for the 3" maf so I get the correct one.

Cheers, so really I could just make my own housing out of stainless steel and put the original sensor into it.

K04 turbo bracket (very important)
4bar fpr
Downpipe custom or track slag make them
Custom oil return
Coolant pipe from turbo to secondary water pump (under front panel) need modding where the k04 metal line joins the rubber Ibiza hose as different bore size
1 coolant line union (the k03 uses different size iirc)
Main metal coolant tube (runs across the front of the block just above oil filter housing) needs shorting go avoid tip
Heater matrix hoses, need custom ones to avoid tip
Hoses to coolant tank need looking at aswell
Might find the k04 tip points the air filter right at the battery and have no room for a filter. Defo if you fitting a big bore tip as your be trying to avoid the abs pump,
So battery relocation kit
Maybe an oil cooler as the k04s run very hot
Fuel pump
Injector seals (in manifold)
Abs pump bracket moving over
Brake lines to abs pump changing (I carefully bent mine out the way)
Gear cable bracket needs moving (if running big bore tip)
Modified gear cable bracket
Custom intercooler pipe work
Your need a blanking bung for the EGT sensor (M12x1.0 pitch, I welded up a brake pipe union)
All gaskets
Uprated clutch ( if mapping to potential - which means rods being done)
Uprated engine mounts as your have loads more torque

If doing Rods- ideally you want too to get the most out of it
Piston rings
Rifle drilled rods
Uprated calico Shells
Head gasket set
Head Bolts
10L of running in oil
5L of **** oil
5L of good full syn oil
4 oil filters
Redline assembly lube
Sump sealant
Antifreeze

That's most of it from what I can think of now. might be more tho. I remember having to tweak a lot of things tho.
Sure there's loads of pics in my thread that you've seen :)

Lol mate just stick k03s a lot easier ha ha

hahah That's a thought that has crossed my mind!!

I could easily rebuild the bottom end myself but not sure if I want to spend the money doing it when it will just be a track car!!

I think 210-230bhp in one of these stripped out will be more than enough!

There might be some K04 bits for sale soon......
