Got my snowfoam in the mail so got home and tested it on the mr2 first for a quick clean. Direct Hoses foam lance (recommended by Detailingworld over the AutoDirect one) and Valet Pro pH neutral foam.

Worked a treat! Manually dried the car afterwards and the waffle weave towel was clean as could be. Don't know what ya'll go on about. Cut down my quick cleans to about 20 mins.

It is a small car though ;)

By the way, manually dried the car? As opposed to your hairdryer?

£1200......crazy money
It is. I keep hoping someone will come on and say they've had a stg2 clutch and dmf put in for < 1k.
That's the sole reason we haven't gone stg1 yet. If the clutch went, couldn't afford a new one yet

So really a remap for the R would be 1700, not 500 (when on offer)

Last saturday 4/10

Drove to Aberystwyth and back from Worthing, return via Romford 600 miles or near enough - not out of choice but to see gfs son at Uni.

Had a Speed Blue FR behind me on the A44 for a while too. Averaged 32mpg (TFSI) real mix of roads and speeds, so spent a few quid on fuel.

So what did i learn?:D

Car handled great on the very dirty Welsh Roads
Surprisingly comfy for 5 hours each way
My wipers are still noisey and judder across the screen, even in Wales:p
But still a great car after 6 years ownership.:D
Aberystwyth is a bugg3r to get too from here, a pain to park safely in, and a flipping long way to do a return journey in one day, oh and watch out for motorbike kamakazis on the Welsh B roads...

Replacement clutch and fly cost me around £1200, obviously would be cheaper if you fit it yourself, and cheaper again if you don't need a replacement flywheel as I did.

Fitted canbus error free sidelight bulbs and gave it a good wash. And polished the wheels.

And then it rained.......................
