I re-soldered the joints inside the module (one was cracked) then sealed the final door! My Leon is finally waterproof! I saw a Leon today all fogged up - so glad I don't have to put up with that all winter, and that musty smell.

So much water poured out when I took off the door trim, thankfully none of it was going in the car.

When I got the car a year ago I put velcro at the bottom of each door - this creates an air gap between the seal to let the water run out. Quick temporary fix that worked.

Photo taken in May when I was letting the carpet dry out - this side was still wet after a few months of nice weather, but then again how's the water going to evaporate with the carpet down.

Looks like I gotta take my drivers door apart again after sealing it at the weekend grrrr!

Think some water got in last week and now the drivers door doesn't always unlock with the remote

Check around the speakers too, water can also come through there. Feel free to contact me if you need help, but you'll probably find all the guides on here.
Dodgy solder joints inside the module caused my central locking to play up, which also caused the alarm to go off at random times.

Rack - the speaker is where mine went too. About 6 inches or so rotten around that bottom corner. Make sure you really scrape and clean the old crap out before re sealing. Classic place it goes apparently.

Removed bonnet sound proofing, polished and sealed it and cleaned up the engine bay for winter!
