Replaced the passenger door lock as it failed to lock a few times in the last couple of years and threw up an implausible signal error code. Probably could have left it as spraying it with wd40 and locking/unlocking it 50 times would fix it for several months, but I decided to do it while I had the time and the weather was good. I also ran a butyl strip round the inner door panel while it was off, even though the door had never leaked.

Changed oil, oil filter and front brake pads. The pad with the sensor was very low about 2mm left on it, whereas the other 3 had alot left on about 8mm.

Recently hit 140,000 on the clock so got the timing belt and water pump changed today for £410 all in... then quoted for additional work for bushes all round (shagged) and rectify leak from cam? comes to a nice £857.02 .... not sure if I can justify that but we'll see how she goes.. plus I quite like driving a ship in a storm

Stripped it down to bare metal to get rewiring done; upgrade/engine swap from 1.6 to 1.8T

What a pain to get the new electrical installation in!

Fitted black expansion tank lid and washer bottle lid from Awesome gti. Ordered yesterday afternoon arrived this morning. Great service. ::D

I listened to see if a speaker has failed. It has. cant find any decent threads with a guide on how to fix/replace as they're a link graveyard

Advice? Any decent / cheapish replacements worth a look?

What ?!?
Another one bites the dust !

I swapped it with a Renault Clio II RS Phase 1 (received some money with it). Financial priority changed, we want to buy a house in the near future and with the Leon I wasnt always able to save money on the side. So made the choice to drive a smaller car, so the recurring costs would go down.

The Clio is a fast little bugger with go kart like behaviour. Its a sleeper like car, I adore it :) No boost from turbo, but still very fast. I want to maintain the sleeper look, so debadge, keep stock lights etc

Bought it like this, but changed the wheels already to Rota Subzero wheels which weigh 6.6kg, lot better (See last picture)

Dont worry, I will still share my knowledge [B)]

Not a fan of the Clio at all ! But strangely enough I really like the Megane 225RenaultSport. Good luck buying a house dude. Let's hope it's less costly in the Netherlands than in the south of England.
