Hi S88EWN what engine is yours 150 or 184 derv any other experience to pass on of interest
cheers garry

Mines is the 184. Thought map 1+1 was very quick to come in with the power, map 3+1 seemed a bit to aggressive for me. I thought map 2 gives the best overall power delivery throughout the range. All presonal preference though. Tbh I haven't played about with the box a whole lot but definitely worth the money

Continuing mpg testing. Posted previously getting 49-50 pre CRD3. On 3+1 was 47. Been running 1+1 recently at 51-52. Will shortly move to 2+1. Plus 2 is for the future. For me, 3+1 certainly encourages a little more 'fun' than 1+1, doubtless reflected in the mpg. Cannot imagine going back to a standard car. Bravo DTUK!

Just out of interest what kind of increase in your insurance did you see with these devices?

Hey dsr, I've recently got a CRD3, I've just swapped over to 1+1 today for the trip to work (25 miles) and I'm struggling to notice any real power difference, however I did manage the best ever mpg to work, hitting I believe it was 58 - I'm normally around 52/53.

What confuses me slightly is the installation instructions say:

P1 = Sports;
P2 = Dynamic
P3 = Efficiency

Which is the reverse order from what you're stating, as well as from what I've experienced with my short time with the CRD3. I believe P1 = efficiency and P3 = sports.

Totally agree with you. I simply cannot produce that fuel-hungry rush in P1 that comes with P3. I can't speak for P2 yet, but logic dictates the middle ground.

More than I would like and I will be doing a thorough trawl of other insurers on renewal. I don't want to state figures, because we are all of different ages in different area and with different insurers. But, on a weekly basis, the increase for me is peanuts and worth every penny for admission to the CRD3 show.

Sorry, typo on that last line of mine, I meant to say sports = P3, not sports = P2. Updated on my original post.

Yes, I would imagine P2 is the middle ground of them both. I'm guessing if you change from +1 to +2, or even +3 it would slightly change the power output (increase) of that program.

This configuration of program was used when "Trevor" was first launched and described the original German software file configuration.

I believe this is no longer the case at all as all the software is focused on power and torque and how and where in the rev range the said power and torque are produced.

The instructions suggest that the programs are different in more aspects than that, else why label them "efficiency", "dynamic", and "sport"?

They can all still output the power and torque at different rev ranges, but be focused on a different end goal.

More testing required I think :)

I have email DTUK with the following but not had any response, any thoughts on this?

I purchased a tuning box and pedal box combo from you last year. When I was fitting the pedal box, the grey plastic clip broke off. I sent you the following image at the time:

pedalbox%20clip_zps4fvh6xhh.png

I am changing my car to a Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0 Black Edition shortly so have removed both the pedal and tuning boxes from the Leon. The pedal box had to be removed at a garage as I couldn't unclip it myself

Can the tuning box be flashed for the new vehicle and can I use the pedal box on the car too? The grey bit in the pedal box cable won't budge at all. Can I send it back to you so you can ask the manufacturer for a replacement?

The grey clips on the pedal box plugs are a bit of a PITA. I removed the grey part from mine before fitting. Cant see your picture? Maybe because im on my phone

An update, I emailed DTUK this morning and Andrew has asked me to return the pedalbox and he will swap it out. The tuning box won't work on my new car so that's up for sale if anyone is interested?
