Seat Lakeside. Its a retail store, and sometimes they get priority builds. At least thats what they told me. Which turns out to be true :)

Haven't owned a Seat in years so not been on this forum for a while! Also due to 2 little kids, I've been out of the fast car game for what seems like forever.

However, today I ordered a mystery blue 300 ST manual 2WD. Only option I took was the sound pack. I've been told 18 weeks delivery but the dealer will keep it for me for 1st sept on a 68. Going to be a long wait!

I've already ordered the Rieger gloss black front lip got it, just don't tell the wife, she will assume it's standard!

Ordered mine about 7-8weeks ago, hopefully won't be long now. Biggest problem is I can't check the status as I've ordered through a broker.

Oddly enough, I've ordered mine from the same place as you at pretty much the same time (29/1/18 from buyanewcaronline)

Will be interesting to see who comes first...

Good news! Thursday is back on, dealer managed to make it happen and is getting the car turned around in a day. Awaiting call from delivery company now :)

Ordered on the 17/1 still no confirmed build week....

are u part exchanging? I have a feeling if u are they hurry up a bit more, at least for me they agreed to guaranty the price no matter how long the build takes...

Nah they offered me a pittance for the Mini, even webuyanycar was £1000 more!

Take it back it’s now not happening. Wtf is wrong with SEAT.

This sounds depressingly familiar... My car has now been sitting at the UK port for more than two weeks, apparently “waiting for a transporter.” No-one seems to be able to give me a straight answer about when the car will be ready. I wouldn’t mind so much were it not for the fact that I ordered it almost six months ago

The whole experience is putting me off ever ordering a new SEAT ever again...

I think mine is sitting there too. "it's in the UK sir, we are waiting for delivery to dealer". This was 10 days ago. Keep saying "you'll have it late March". Still heard nothing.

Exactly the same as mine. God knows what’s going on. Certainly unlikely to order from factory through SEAT again.

I’m now told my car will arrive next Tuesday and is theoretically being prepared today - if it actually arrived last night. It was meant to be done yesterday but hadn’t turned up as of 3:30pm. Dealer mentioned that some of the “preparing” garages are better than others. Some have a “5 day turnaround” others can do it in a day if they get it quick enough.

Good luck all, hopefully worth the wait, but as mentioned after 6 months it’s painfully close now.

'Better' is a subjective term. The actual PDI and valeting process takes pretty-much the same time wherever it is done. The only difference between different dealerships is how busy they are.

For example, a small stand-alone dealership will usually be able to prepare cars more quickly then a large multi-franchise site purely due to the amount of cars they have going through their workshop/valeting bay at any given time.
