So the whole system is considered an assembly which has a different part no. I posted it further back.

However the above part no’s will be the separate back boxes and require a clamping sleeve. I assume one has the y piece like the image below.

What is the difference between the boxes in this picture and the boxes you have installed part number wise? It seems like the ones in the picture only have one pipe coming out of each box?

So the ones in the image are off the mk7 golf r estate. They had a fake outlet but still managed to be louder than the standard Cupra exhausts.

For the mk7.5 golf r estate facelift the exhaust has twin exits on both sides and is louder.

Thanks for the feedback. Is the 5G9253609BB and 5G9253609BC with the twin exits or single exit?

Twin exits. You will also need a 65mm exhaust clamp to connect one of the back boxes the other side has the y piece.

I also managed to get an image of the cupra r st exhaust part no and can confirm it matches the golf r. See below (bare in mind the upper no is the assembly no)

Man... I been trying to source a donor exhaust and so far only found two - one in Sweden that is expensive and pretty rusty and another in the UK that is just expensive and, TBH, not in great condition either ;)

The Cupra R ST system I’d expect to be the same as the Golf R 7.5 WLTP car so 2 back boxes and no resonator.

Got the urge to find the part number on mine now lol.

Thanks for the details. Found them new for approx 350 EUR each from Germany. Have not been able to confirm the 212 £ you mentioned earlier but would be really interested at that price. Any ideas where to find them for that type of money?

The Cupra ST R tips have a different finish, gloss black rather than chrome for the Golf R. The part number must be for the back box only and not the full system with pipe and tips?

Full system (assembly) is 5Q0 120 BG
The back box 5Q5 253 611 AM

5Q is the identifier for the golf r

Could you do us a favour and get your part no? As getting the black tips seems to be the difficult part.

Could someone clarify... The RPS supplied 7.5 R backbox at £212+VAT; Does this include exhaust tips or is it literally just the backbox itself?

Hi all,

I'm at the same position of all rith now. I have a new Cupra ST 4drive 2019, and I want to install a diferent exhaust, but I'm in a big dubts.
Fist time I have a Remus GPF-back option, and the other one is to install the silencers of (Cupra ST R o Golf Variant R), but I don't know the correct serial number part.

Althought, If I will find the oem codes for these silencers I will try to install RS4/6 style tips in these doble (Cupra ST R or golf Variant R) exhaust.
