Speaker wiring question

Looking for some insight on the wiring for the speakers on the 52 pin plug.

The ones circled are the bass speakers for the front. FL and FR are the tweeter connections.
This is diagram for the 8 speaker system, does anyone have any info on how the rear speakers are controlled. Do they have a passive crossover fitter somewhere or is it controlled by the MIB unit?

Correct me if I'm wrong, the rear speakers have 1 connection from the MIB unit and it splits somewhere before the speakers. I can find anything about whether it used a passive crossover?

All speakers are straight wired to the MIB. No other device in between. Don't ask me how the frequencies reach the correct speaker since they are wired together (midbass & tweeters). That I really don't know or understand.
