Hi all

I have a 13 plate mk3 Leon 1.8 TSI. The engine management light has been on for 3-4 years or so, and I understand from the garage it’s down to the turbo actuator. I’ve always been told it’s not possible to replace without putting in a whole new turbo.

Car drives absolutely perfectly so I’ve left it until now, but looking to sell soon and assume it will be near worthless with the light on.

Is it possible to fix this without needing a whole new turbo (ie can you actually replace the relevant part)?

Any help much appreciated!

What?? :0.

You do mean years, not days?
Yep, I most certainly do mean years....

Am I a bad person?

Edit: perhaps I should also say I bought the car cat D with 15k on the clock. It’s now on 100k. Other than the above issue and a replacement DSG ECU, it’s been absolutely perfect.
