They told me once in a 3 months to come them for a wash, about 40£ and in a meantime to clean it in selfservice washing pits without sponge or cloth, just water pressure.Just check the warranty terms , in uk when I did gtechniq few years back and as part of warranty I was told i needed a gwash detailing done by them costing 300 every year to ensure the warranty would stand.
What parts did you cover with PPF? Could you apply it over the creases (for example lights area) in a single sheet or is it cut at the points where body has sharp angles.I actually work for XPEL so was able to do it all myself. Used our ceramic coatings too as well as the paint protection film. I’m more than happy to answer any question or concerns people have with these products.
Does the price differ from place to place? There is a shop not too far from me that offer the "Fusion Plus Ceramic Coating" but I am unable to access the site on my work network. Do you know what the average cost of this service might be?I actually work for XPEL so was able to do it all myself. Used our ceramic coatings too as well as the paint protection film. I wanted to PPF front bumper, it seems like an obvious choice, it is one piece that covers whole front of the car with ability to wrap a whole panel to hide the PPF.The front bumper is in one piece around the light area, just has a seam as the bottom which you cant even notice wont they join up. I covered the Full bonnet, wings including the grey arches, bumper and all the trims, mirrors and headlights.
The cost can depend on the shops and area but shouldn't be by that much. For the areas I've listed above it should be around £1200-£1400. coating the car will add another couple of hundred. It can be pricey because applying the films or coatings are labour intensive.
Id highly recommend at least a coating to help maintain the paintwork and if anyone is going for the matte paint option then even more so. They can be a real nightmare to clean and can only use certain types of products.
How much does just the ceramic coating normally go for?The front bumper is in one piece around the light area, just has a seam as the bottom which you cant even notice wont they join up. I covered the Full bonnet, wings including the grey arches, bumper and all the trims, mirrors and headlights.

It can range, we normally charge around £495. with coatings though its all about the prep. If the car is brand new the prep work is a lot easierHow much does just the ceramic coating normally go for?
I had it on my current BMW and it just makes it so much easier to keep clean.
I have ordered Matt blue for my VZ3, planning to get as much film coating as affordable. Good to know ceramic on brand new needs less prep. Would you recommend straight from dealer to body shop leaving the delivery protection material in place? It can range, we normally charge around £495. with coatings though its all about the prep. With the matte paint there isn’t much prep work you can do apart from a deep clean, can’t polish matte paint.
As I'm having mine in a lease,I'm not investing in a £500 plus costing for the benefit of the next keeper to have for free but i will be decontaminating it,re waxing it properly and using the autoglym ceramic detailer to maintain it through my ownership.
If you are at all ocd about looking after your cars, you will have no issues.Have you ever leased before? The only reason I considered it was to prevent any unwanted charges for surface damage (how ever minor, like stone chips etc). If you have leased, what is the exchange like? How anal are they?
