Engine juddering on n off during idle, and revs dropping slightly during juddering. Any idea what this could be? Had a service at Seat about 6 months ago, so sparks plugs, filters etc. replaced then.

Any advantage on using Vagsport coils vs standard coils?
I wouldn't of thought so

If you use something like Carista to read the fault codes. Hopefully shows which cyclinder has the missfire. Then just change that ignition coil.

I'm assuming your spark plugs are good as you say you have recently had them changed

It’s not all the time. Every now n then during idling the engine will judder and revs drop slightly, then back to standard idle revs n no judder.

@H Rafiq - as @BigJase88 has said, scan for fault codes, otherwise you could spend time and money on replacing / fixing things that aren’t the cause of this issue.

In the engine, I’m getting these 4 fault codes:

These same codes reappear. Tried clearing the codes a couple of times.

So you have 2 errors. Exhaust flap motor and camshaft position sensor.

Change camshaft position sensor 1st as it should be pretty straight forward

Update. Removed old sensor as advised, and replaced with new sensor. This was the old sensor:

Very oily, and some white crap too. How’s oil got in there? Seemed like a tight, flush fit part. Quite hard to remove actually.

Probably a quick clean and it would of been okay.

However nice new one should hopefully run sweet now

Does it do this on a cold start?
