Model Year 24/25 Wiper oversight with (thankfully) easy fix

So, after 8 weeks with the smeary stock wipers I took the decision last week to replace them with new Bosch Aerotwins - Halfords were doing an offer so I thought I'll change them...

So being a smart a*se (or so I thought) I noticed they were selling them as a pair at a considerable discount compared to buying seperately...coded as A864S so I bought them for a few pennies over £20.

I hadnt bothered to fit them until today and it was just now I realised the fitment clip on the Cupra ones is a few mm larger than the Bosch one - as seen in the attatched images! So I was thinking its back for a rather embarrassing exchange and more money...

But fear not LOL, a simple 2 second eureka moment and I pinged the clips off the old wipers and fitted them to the new Bosch wipers and presto - problem solved!
Anyhow just thought I'd share this rare piece of wisdom on this otherwise boring day!

Nice fix, but bad that Halfords sold you the wrong ones for your car in the first place.

i think the newer shape has a different connecters front and back. lucky you were able to take the old connecter off
