Hello again everybody,

Here are a few photos of my new (seven months old actually) ride and some info about it.

Photos are from today's very-early morning tour along our lovely Bosphorus coast on the European-side, while people of the city were still sleeping.
I wish I had the artistic eye & equipment of a professional photographer but I have neither so we have to make do with my phone's measly camera & and my limited abilities.

I was a very happy owner of a 2018 manual Desire Red Leon FR for 3,5 years and my intention was to keep it for a long long time.
But last December I thought that a bigger, more comfortable and a brand new car with more gadgets would be nicer and decided to buy an Ateca in a flash.

It is a fully loaded one (except 360-degrees camera system) and no major retrofit was needed, so I just added some little bits and pieces that I thought was missing. I have shared those retrofitting stories here since I bought it, so some of you already know about the car and the additions I have already made.

Anyway, the odometer is already on 8000+ kilometers now, I made some intercity trips and a couple of vacation trips, one for the winter and one for the summer, just recently to our wonderful Aegean beaches.

I'm happy with all aspects of the car, there's nothing that I could complain about (knocking the wood!) and I just love it. I still miss my lovely Leon though, it was a really special one for me.

The scenery along the Bosphorus coastline looks great, as does your car, and I think your phone camera pictures are pretty good . I really like the tenth picture and how the early morning light makes your car’s look a slightly different shade of grey compared to the other pictures.

I used to go out early with my 35mm SLR back in the day before digital cameras or camera phones and try to get some ‘arty’ shots. In those days you had to wait until the film had been processed to see if that ‘special’ artistic shot had worked - invariably, it hadn’t and no chance for a second attempt without going back to the location. It was nice being out before the daily hustle and bustle of normal life started though.

Nice read and great pictures too, glad you are enjoying the new car as I am mine, but I also miss my Mk3 Leon, keep the info coming.
