• Hey Guest💡👉 We have recently launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
Excellent ... practically, does that now mean (once you've set it up) that you can plug it in, say, 7pm ... then go about your business, including sleep 😴 ... And leave it plugged in and when you go to it again, say, 7.30am ... And it'll be all nice and charged up, as expected, without a dead 12v battery ... Having let Octopus Intelligent Go decide on the charge 'start/stop' times throughout the period it's been plugged in throughout the night?

I'm getting fed up of having to remember to plug it in just before midnight, for its 'ready by 4.01am' schedule. Given that it takes 4 hours, give or take, to charge. And at the moment, unless it charges without a break, there's the potential on any morning that the charge fails and the 12v battery drains.

Appreciate your updates, Paul, very helpful.

Cheers
Yes and no. Yes you can plug it in when you get home. It then starts and stops charging according to the schedule you set up, either in the car or via the My Seat app. But it's not using the Octopus Intelligent Go functions. As yet, Octopus does NOT recognise the car, so the "intelligent" bit is not working. But you still get the "Go" bit of cheap power 11.30-5.30. We are getting there.....

Hey! I have the exact same issue here with my Cupra Leon Sportstourer 2025 e-Hybrid. The schedule option missing but according to the instruction manual it should be there. And my dealer doesn't have a clue why it's missing, their demo car has it.
@Ludwig and @Paul Strickland do you both have the SEAT Leon or the Cupra Leon?

I've booked time for my dealership to have a closer look at it next week. But they gave me little hope of being able to do anything.
I have been emailing a bit with Cupra support but they just give me robotic answers that my car doesn't have the feature and never have. Which I obviously know. And I'm afraid I'm gonna get the same answer from my dealer. But evidently it can be fixed. But maybe only for SEAT?

Hi there, mines a Seat Leon FR e-hybrid 1.5 late 2024. I chased Seat Leon support for months, and even got through to some sort of exec support team (after emailing the CEO of VAG). No one knew anything, but via the dealer they did admit that the software was missing, and "delayed". I only got the dealer to book it in by giving them the software release number, which I got from another thread. My personal view is that the software was fixed months ago, and bundled into a release, but never officially stated to be a fix for this specific problem. Maybe SEAT didn't want the expense of a recall, but will only do it on demand. From what I've read, the same problem was on VWs and Skoda's, and Cupras, probably everything sharing the same drivetrain, but had been fixed a while back. I'm surprised to hear a 2025 cupra still has it. Good luck chasing them.

A new menu item "Charging Schedules" has just appeared on MySEAT app. No section on the car menu though. It advises to contact customer care if you can't find the section. When I filled out the SEAT contact us form online it just throws up an error. O well.

I've got my car booked in next week to hopefully update the software, but the service dept wasn't that clear on what to do or how to do it!

Mention the PV4-RC software update suite. They should be able to find the relevant technical documentation off the back of that, then follow the instructions to implement the updates 👍
