Seat Leon MK3 2017 virtual cockpit / digital dash

I’m wondering which MIB unit I need and which Virtual Cockpit to be able to display navigation maps directly on the VC in a Seat Leon 2017.

Currently, I’m considering the following MIB units:

- 5F0 035 020 J
- 5QA 035 874
- 5QA 035 858A

And I plan to pair it with this VC: Virtual Cockpit 575 920 321 A.

My questions:
Which of these MIB units actually support map display on the Virtual Cockpit? Does the MIB need a specific software version or map license to enable this? Are these combinations compatible with my VC 575 920 321 A?

I want it to look like in the pictures.

Map data is transferred to virtual cockpit via a fiber optic cable.
You would need to buy that cable too.
And accordingly the infotainment unit should have the matching port to connect that cable, so it's the first thing to check when buying a unit.
As for the navigation, it is a protected feature, so it should be installed and activated via official or unofficial ways.
Most of the secondhand units sold in retrofitter circles would have it installed/activated already but make sure before buying anyway.

VAG may reject the dealer's request to install a secondhand VC if it is from a car reported as stolen.

Also I remember reading about its odometer should be lower than yours, as there is no way to decrease it, it can only be increased.

But also I heard that there are unofficial ways to install any used VC, without VAG's consent I guess. Don't know the details though.

Yes, cloning is possible. Disassemble both speedometers, extract the EEPROM dump, and edit it. Whether it's worthwhile is another question. You'll then never be able to do anything with ODIS on your unit 17 that requires a server connection.

You can't officially edit the mileage on a used virtual cockpit, neither increasing nor decreasing it. I have tools to edit it myself.

I made a third vehicle key for myself and added it to the immobilizer system.

are you saying the VC is damaged once its done so could never be taken out again. Was hoping you could just put the old cluster back in. If it works why would odis be needed anyway ?

No, the VC is not damaged; the VW server is simply reporting corruption immediately.

I don't know if you call it the best way but the easiest and safest way is to buy a brand new VC from a dealer and get it installed there. They will copy your odometer value to it and also adapt your keys to the new immobilizer on it. It won't be cheap surely though.

Correct, but what do you do if a workshop accidentally plugs it in? How do you program a new key, what do you do if one malfunctions? Reset the service indicator? Do you do everything yourself?
