I want to get into retrofitting in general and learn the art of coding thats required.

I want to fit a virtual cockpit to my Leon FR mk3 19 plate.

I also want maps on it. I have a MIB2 unit, I've read elsewhere there is different versions of the unit. I've attached mine, please see.

Would that be sufficient to get maps on the cockpit?

And is there any tutorials on how to recode cockpits to cars and sort milage?

I'm aware there's services on this page and on instagram but it's something I want to get into myself. I want to learn about the coding protection stuff, what software is needed etc.

Can anyone help?

It isn't a DIY job, you require security credentials with VWAG to adapt the immobiliser and remove component protection.

Once the above is done, you can code the cluster to suit the vehicle’s specification

A replacement infotainment unit would need component protection removal, coding, parameterisation and activation. Again, not a DIY job
