Right. Well they still have not sorted that out then for Seat / Cupra then. It will use the descriptor of the unit plus the presence of the SE in that manifest file. It's a lot like the old VW POI input process where the unit needed to be recognised.

There are still missing UK radio logos in it from the Troc report and Briskoda, so it might not have helped. A design floor in not allowing users to update the radio images with their own png / jpegs as mib2. In the original documentation but never implemented.

I reckon basically if the radio logo image is in the phonostar radio internet bouquet 💐 as they call them it will be in the car's system file, but if not it won't be. They wont have done anything special to manufacture that file. They just leave off the Seat / Cupra unit descriptor which is a separate issue. It was in once.

Probably the connect services passage of the logos doesnt use the same import protocol so get's written directly into memory. That's how Seat / Cupra connect customers get their radio logo updates though that route which cant use the same method, obviously but still missing some radio logos. Siesta time in HQ.

As we have been told by @East Yorkshire Retrofits an online firmware update via connect services may then get a radio logo update but if you arent getting those firmware updates for reasons that it cant be updated.... fill in the dots, then your radio logos don't get updated, but if updated they are only as good as Phonostar's database who are the Vag provider of the logos.
