got my fanimold back so itll be ready to go together now unless i hit another hurdle which i no doubt will but for now, everything looks A o K

shitter i got to run it in tho eh but good things come to those who wait and what not
if the coilpacks dont fix yours youll have to try plugging it into your laptop again... can only be 1 or 2 things tbf tho

well if im not working and u require a hand and i can get u give us a shout mate

and im 90% sure is the coils as looked over all the wires for any tears or cuts made earths to bear metal and eben changed the spark plugs

and ye but imagion as u run in people may try beat u but when u all ran in u will destoy them haha

had a few hours on it today though and got a few little bits added on which im pleased about.

prepped gearbox before:

Clutch and lightened and balanced flywheel on (Think i got it to 5 or 6kg but i forget which one )

Then mated together:

And with a few extra goodies thrown on aswell

Really great car! I'm thinking about a 20v (in time) conversion in mine - black also!
I like the idea of it being a bit rarer plus I love my MK2, but another part of me thinks it would just be so much easier to buy a MK3 as I want to k03 hybrid it too...
I'm aware the gearboxes arent that strong on the MK3, I read you've used the ABF gearbox on yours? Are these more reliable do you think?

i say go for it...
its easy enough to put the engine in, but getting it to run is the interesting part...
I have no idea if the mk2 box is stronger, but for the conversion it was the easiest option at the time... im now going to be putting A LOT more power through it than it was designed for so how long itll last now is unknown, but ill look into other options as and when.

becomes adicitive though knowing that more power is only the next size bigger turbo and injectors

Well I don't want to build it up until it runs as.it's still not accelerating right and still cuts out well annoying menu dads like get a mechanic to look at it I'm like if only was that simple lol

haha no chance... lost the crank breather pipe tho me thinks in the 3 months its been in garage somewhere
just spent £33 on stainless bolts for it today aswell ha mental spendings

£33 on a bolt i would return it and buy the screw ur loose instead

and 3 months really cmon get ya finger out ur only changing ur turbo and taking u 3 months haha

i mean u got the snap u got the crackle get it bloody working so i can hear the pop haha

i know, its taken agggggesss but then again, ive only had it built for a couple of weeks now... its the other monkies that have been fannying around with it for so long

£33 on a load of stainless bolts... still i was expecting no more than £20 tbh
Aint no bolt on there thats not new or stainless (...Nearly...)

got to make my downpipe yet too... thatll be a crack when i see hot much room there is... though with a hald built one already i dont think ill need to do tooooooo much adjusting... hopefully

a load of bolts or 1 if was loads ill let you off haha and ye i know its others that peed you around and ye well the once u addapted and now im running looked well so i cant see you failing im sure you will find away lol

carfull all these shiney bolts will attract vultures lol

well pleased now, i have the engine in, driveshafts bolted up but not torqued
just got to figure out the intercooler pipe work not looked at it yet, and also the coolant pipe fouls the front of the turbo, but all just little things so should be back up and motoring in the next 2 weeks
