Hi, i was thinking of getting a New south power gasket for my FR 20 vt. To hopefully reduce intake temps in the manifold. what I would like to know, is this a worth while exercise, or is it a complete waste of money. Also will it give any more power ?. If any body has any ideas please let me know . Thanks

Thicker phenolic insulator gasket like I do will offer greater heat isolation from conducted cylinder head heat. It does not add power.. none of them can. They resist the heatsoak from conduction of the cylinder head to the inlet manifold tho.. and this is important as the air temp sensor sits in this "hot" "oven like" environment. Its thinking, "christ its hot" when in reality its sat in an over and the charge temp is'nt anything like what its reading. High AIT and the ecu pulls back performance.

Ok, could you please give me a price for one, for a 2005 fr 20vt , engine code [ bjx ]. Thanks.
