Wasn't really problems. He just made sure there wasn't any fillings after modding the bulb holder.

THink you can make the change without splitting the headlamps, but could end up with metal swarf in on the inside of the headlamps...which would be just plan annoying!

Putting an H1 bulb into an H1 hole and it wouldn't fit is a problem in my book, also i know of other FK lights for a different make of car where they had to do the same and dremel out the hole.
Yet my HIDS fitted my old angel eyes fine, strange.

Looks like it's combination of things...bulbs & bulb holders...

End of the day one isn't "technically" meant to put HID's in...

Projectors were made for hids imho, mate put some into his 300zx over the weekend and he can actually see where he is going now, over the standard "candles"

Oh I agree with that...however HID's were not mean from retro fit, as there are other things that "should" be in place for them to align with reg's!

I've got a set of 6000k which have been fine. I heard from my garage though that some of the higher temp ones (10k an so on) can actually melt the plastic casing around them and distort the headlights.

This actually happened to anyone?

They all run cooler than standard halogen bulbs, so i can't see that happening tbh.

Done on mine, and no real issue with flashing people. You get that initial spark of light that is more than enough to catch peoples attn, and if that don't work use the shout button in the middle of the steering wheel...:cartman:
