12,000 mile service

HI, my 1.4 Formula sport is coming up to a year old and due its first service. I have just been quoted £140 - £170 for the first year service. This sounds unreal - can anyone tell me what exaclty is included for this price and can i get it done elsewhere or do the work mysef without invalidating the Seat warranty.

If you don't want to pay their prices, nip down to an independant vw group specialist. They'll use all vag approved stuff so no invalidating is done. Tend to be cheaper to.

for this there is normally a lrage amount of oil that is changed, which makes up the bulk of the cost. If you wanted to save money, you could change the oil and filter yourself and then leave the dealership to the rest?
