Yer mine is a 04 reg cupra r 225 bhp had to pay £210 last month ridiculous :)

The 1.4 8v 60bhp is £145 which I think is disgusting as said above any vehicle (except low volume manufactures) registered after 01/03/01 is CO2 based road tax anything before is on engine size.

161g/km band 151-165 = £145 going upto $150 as of yesterday. This is for the AUD engine remember which has lower emissions

its come back to haunt you.lol. Checked the emisions rates anyway do you want to no the cut off point for the lower tax band....184g co2 so ours being 189g puts us a huge 004g over.... :cry: :cry:

£210 is a joke, my brothers 200sx which is a 2.0 turbo is £190 when my co2 emmisions are less!!!!

Yeah, I know that too, it was some newbie with a leon trying to get his post count up.

So is there a specific age of the 1.4s that only pay the lower road tax, because thats quite some difference.

Its to do with the engine mate mine has the lastest 1.4 AUD version however if you have a ibiza made in 2000 but registered in 2001 it will probably have the earlyer version (AKK etc) which doesn't have the same emission's control (AUD has pre cat, extra oxygen sensor and charcoal canister)

This isn't making sense, mine is an AUD engine, I just checked it. Why am I paying so much more? :ban:

Pance, had my renewal through the other day... even though it states 12months is £210 its actually £215 i have to pay as it went up from 1st may,

ah well probs just be paying for some MP's electric toothbrush or surround sound system
