17976 Fault Code - Throttle body or Throttle Pedal..Anyway I can test?

Just had this fault code come up, car spluttered and died. Tried clearing the code and starting it again and it just dies straight away. Is there anyway if I can test if it is throttle pedal or throttle body related?

If I clear the code, just turn ignition on and try and do a tb reset; if this doesn't work, and code comes back that would suggest tb is shot yes?

For anyone else that has this issue; I stripped down my throttle body only to find water droplets in the gears and around the electrical position sensors; dried, spraying with electrical contact cleaner, reassembled and all seems good so far
