2 Fault Codes Showing

Hi,
I've got 2 fault codes showing up:

16502 - coolant temp sensor
17863 - exhaust gas temp sensor 1 range/performance

The first code showed up 2 weeks ago and i have the new coolant sensor on order which should be here tomorrow.
But the second code only showed up at the weekend along with the first one.
My question is could the faulty coolant sensor be causing problems with the other sensor?

You will find out once you've fitted the new sensor and deleted the old fault codes.

Probably is as the fuelling signal to the ECU from the CTS will be wrong, so there is more fuel being used and the lambda is sensing it.

yea that seems right the ecu aint sensing that the engine is warm and puts more fuel in, when the lambda knows the engine is hot and is running fine and shows a fault
