you know what you should do now as your being honest - ring the garage up your trading the car in with over something trivial - i.e. do they have your insurance cover note yet?

then drop into the conversation that your fitting a brand new turbo to the car at a cost of £ (2 x the price your actually paying :) ) then say - "so what are you going to give me then....a free supagard or a free service?" (closed question!) in a sort of jokey way......supagard/diamondbrite only costs dealers about £30 so you never know :)

Fair play to you for being honest - but just MAKE SURE the dealer knows youve gone out of your way for them

Can't say forsure you'd need to check your engine code, if yours is BAM then i can't see why it souldn't fit ok, but i'm not a expect so better check with the seller perhaps...

How is it going what did you do in the end? IMO i would trade it in as is! if its not obvious from the moment you turn the key then i'd play dumb. Like most people say its there responsibilty to check your car over an 99% of them wont! and again pointing out what others have said they have already counted you as a sale. I had a similar problem when trading my first car (a renault clio) for my current car a Skoda Fabia VRS. I went to pick it up on the monday to find when I come down that morning that someone had tried to break in to it and bent the door back. the door now dropped so that you couldnt clse it without lifting it 6inches off the floor. I was gutted!!! luckily there was no damage anywhere else so quick thinking I tied it with rope jumped in through the passenger side. Drove to the nearest Renault dealer (to the garage part) and offered the first mechanic £20 to just get the door shut!!!. 20mins later he drove round door closed. I slipped him a sneaky £20 and checked it out. It was spot on! Apart from the fact that if opened fully the door was like KnightRider but hey it opened and closed! (opening twice as far as the passenger door)

I drove straight round to Skoda parked up close to a wall in the car park, handed over the keys and smiled as he drove off and come back with my new car.

At the end of the day it will prob cost them not much to repair and if they call you up in a few weeks time as far as you were concerned it was fine when you handed it over!!! ;)

(I am a scouser after all!!)

owen was only joking fella

that turbo i belive will fit but the engine on a 225 is bam and 210 is something im pretty sure but they use same turbo so reckon it may fit you

ok guys, got a second hand KO4 from a fella off of here put it in today (5hrs) and holy sh*t what a differance to my car. drove it slow for about 5 mins then gave it some berries and i could not beleive the differance in power... the old FU*kED turbo didnt spool up until about 3000rpm and let off at about 5000+rpm this turbo spools up 500rpm earlier and doesnt let off until nearly 6000rmp... really happy and GLAD that it is fixed..

thanks for all you help

got it in and fixed for £260 so want as bad as i first though
