Hi mate, just had a similar problem, my diff started to break up and bits of it came through the casing. Got my work to take the box out, and took it over to a gearbox repairer/rebuilder. They fitted a new diff, bearings (and surrounding parts) welded the casing and fitted new double syncros. If your stuggling to find a box, I would do that. You end up with a next to new box too.

I'm surprised you didn't just put in a LS diff..!
