We headed to the dyno this morning with a MK7 Vw Golf 2.0 TDI 150ps, our customer has been running the CRDT for a few weeks now and has been over the moon

I'll let the graph do the talking

Did you manage to get the 1.6 tdi done today?

Yes. In standard form the car produced 122 then 128bhp, with the tweaked file we started writing on Friday the car produced 147bhp .....

I'm keen to get back on the dyno as soon as I can borrow another 1.6

How long do you need the car? And are there any dangers of trying out different bits on it because I wouldn't mind lending you my seat Leon 5f 1.6tdi 7 gear dsg

Thanks for the offer ;) but I'm just about to order a Golf R from the local dealer who will loan me a car I'm sure .. Btw where are you based ?

I'm based in London but don't mind travelling a bit to help out with it and looking forward to the results then. Any eta on when the software will be released for the 1.6 or still need to do more tests?

Give me a call on Monday as I have a proposal for you :)

Thanks to the guys up at DTUK I had a very smiley drive back to bolton in my TDI 150. Can't believe the difference it makes to the engine, and fuel economy (at least at 70 on mway) didn't seem to be affected - got about 63 indicated/60 measured coming back to bolton from sunderland, which considering it was getting hoofed down every sliproad in third wasn't too bad.

Sorry for the post but i spoke with a man of the seat service in my country (ITA) and he said that if i put a tuning module the engien goes in recovery and need to be unlocker from the service, loosing warranty. This because i've last Software update.

whatdo you think?

In theory this does invalidate the warranty on basically all the drivetrain (certainly engine, gearbox and potentially transaxles). Whether you feel comfortable removing the device (which is easy to do with a box like this) before it goes in for service is a personal moral choice.

If you get the ECU 'remapped' (which I don't think is possible on these engines at the moment) then you will potentially lose the remap if the ECU software is updated during service.

I mean that ive the last sw update and if i put dtuk probably the engine goes in recovery at the first time i try to start it.
I need to know if is possible or not..

We've tuned a lot of Audi/VW/Seat and Skodas with this 2.0 150 engine, and no one has ever had the issue you've mentioned.
