225 hp 1.8t in our ibiza?

if i buy a 225hp - k04 apx or bam engine,

does the 02j gearbox fit inc the clutch etc?

does the wires of our sensors fit ?

engine mounts?

etc etc?

i know downpipe and intercooler etc wil not but thats no problem

I think you'll need to modify the chassis for the gearbox, as you say the IC's and DP will need changing and possibly the inlet manifold.

why not just do the ko4 conversion on its own minus the engine?!!

you dont understand me,

i want to put a complete 225 hp engine on my own 02j gearbox

just swapping a complete enigine inc turbo etc

i've read on some of the US sites that the 02J should bolt straight to the 225 lump

was looking at doing this myself but decided the money would be better spent elsewhere

i would asume plugs etc would be the same although maybe not in the same location so may require some reworking of the wiring loom

mounts will be different but the only one i could see possibly being a problem is the right rear if the block doesn't have the holes in the same place as the AQX/AYP mounting bracket

I know its not but its another question for you!

Seems silly spending out shedloads of cash on a LCR engine when for almost the same ammount you could get much more power!

I guess it depends how cheap he can get it for and whether he is fitting it himself (sorry I dont know if it fits though)

jes if i can get a good engine with low miles on it than i im better of with that engine,

and thats a better base as my engine now with 60.000 miles on it becouse i want to go from k03s to k04 or bigger
