400 HP - 600 HP UPGRADE Turbocharger LM440 IS38 LM500 LM575 Hybrid

@CupraRacer what ever happened with the development of the LM500 IS20? It seems like it was never released. Was the compressor wheel too large, and the TD05 turbine wheel too small to efficiently spin a compressor wheel of that size within IS20 housings? Judging by pictures alone, I have a TD05 based IS20 hybrid with LM500 sized compressor wheel and am wondering what type of performance I should expect from these wheels with MHI rotating assembly in IS20 housings. Thank you.

LM has developed LM500 TRACK in IS38 housing with quick response of little IS20 - Nearly all get it. Consequently there is zero need of an LM500 IS20.

Dear @CupraRacer i beg for your opinion. Will i need HPFP & LPFP (when upgrading to LM500 Gen2) if i go the "soft" tune way (around 460-475cv) with this turbocharger??? High flow Injectors will be necesary too?

All the hardware is just installed. Only HJS 200cel DP is still left, but waiting to install (and deleting GPF). Mods are Remus cat-back, Wagner IC, Forge carbon full intake, MST inlet + muffler, GFB DV+, NGK91006, BAR-TEK black Ignition coils...

My goals are not to install high pressure pumps due to consumption, reliability and smooth drive, so i think 460-475cv is a logical point to not trespass. I know LM440 would be a phenomenal option, but my local tuner claims MUCH difficulty to achieve more than 430-440hp with the lm440...

A last question. In terms of rpm's turbo spool. Is it LM500 slower (or at higher rpms) over LM440???

Regards!!!

Hi, you can install LM440 IS38 (even better spool) for 470 HP when giving it 1.9 bar boost pressure.
The LM500 Gen.2 is, of course, the greatest option. You can drive it also with 430 HP very softly because spool is great and early.
You do not need HPFP Upgrade (Autotech) because 7R injectors are enough. Lots of tuners can do nice software that your car consumes less when driving normal even if your 2.0 TSI gen.3 has got 480 HP - consuming just 8 litrtes on average - nice tune.

Sorry. I didnt say. My car is a 300 MY'20 GPF model. Are there any noticiable differences in terms of performance with this turbo set up vs pre GPF (Dual Port injection) models???

Hi Guys,
Here the new LM440 world record - received yesterday. For tunes ask Stertman, MR, MRC, Revo or the local tuner you trust. I do not provide any software because it is not my job:

Hi MR does not send his software internationally - only when showing up at his local workshop - that is the only way. Stertman is also one of the best tuners worldwide...
