quick question.

After sever hours driving in the snow and then eventually getting stuck my ABS light is stuck on.

Is this just because of the amount of snow and ice or car wheel spinning for ages cause a problem.
Temperatures are still way below zero so the car is not moving again until it has to :)

It could be where the wheels were spining.
When thay come off the rollong roads the ABS light come's up because the front wheels have been moving and the rears have'nt

the yellow abs one Marty. The one that usually comes on when you kill the MAF as Adam notes ;)

Think it may just be ice though as it only came on when we got stuck and wheel spun sideways down a wee slope :)

Good point Daz, had forgotten about that

Drive it up the road a bit then turn it off and back on it should go if the wheel's spining caused it

If it is that then it should reset its self and go off once you go over 10mph (or something like that).

It happened to me last nigth when i was trying to reverse onto drive!

Turn car off then back on, and drive forward, only a matter of few feet before it goes off!
