aftermarket seats

Hey all, im new to the this section;

Im thinking of downsizing my leon to get an ibiza, either tdi FR or tdi cupra and was wondering if any one has changed the seats to say S3 or similar or can it be done???

I'm sure it can be done, but I think your gonna have to do some DIY to get it to fit! I'd love some Leon seats in my Ibiza, they are so much better

What like some DIY subframes?? i like my seats in the leon they are comfortable and i remember when my grandad had his ibiza before his leon the seats wernt to good for my back on long drives, hopefully in the next 2-3 months ill have me an ibiza cupra/FR to try this (unsure which model i want though)

my cupra seats are pretty good. did your grandad have a cupra or fr then as i can imagine the other models arnt to comfy in the way of getting a hug everytime you drive it.

My grandad had a 1.4sport, i found the seats ok on short trips but not to nice on longer drives. Think ill only be changing cars in 2-3 months if i dont change my mind so plenty of time to find a cupra and fr to test out

you should like the seats unless your a very large person,i can imagine theres quite a bit of difference from the cupra/fr to the 1.4 model in the way of seats.
i never used to like long journeys untill i got my cupra as im quite tall.

Audi TT seats fit straight in. Anything out the newer VAG range will fit I think. Mk4 Golf seats, TT seats, A3 seats....

Yeah suppose your right im not that tall/ big built but do like some comfort.Suppose ill have to just test them out for myself and see what i like.

I'm thinking the Recaro seats that come in the Clio 197 and Corsa VXR would do the trick, but failing that, the Recaro seats from the mk4 golf gti would be a good alternative.

Whatever seats you get will need to be folding ones if you get a Cupra (3 door only) or a 3 door FR so that probably rules out a few of the nicer ones?

Doesnt rule out S3 seats some are electric and heated too so it would be good to get that to work!

Also, 1.4 sport seats are the same as Cupra/FR seats I think, jusr with different covers? I had a 1.4 sport before, the only thing they didn't have were the side airbags.
