Aftermarket wheels that fit over AP Racing caliper

Unlike you lucky folks in UK, my Cupra did not have 4-piston AP Racing calipers as standard equipment.

Now I want to upgrade the standard crappy calipers to the ones made by AP, but...

I also need to get a new set of wheels since my old ones were stolen :censored:

Now I would like to know which 17" alloys will fit over the AP calipers on Ibiza Cupra.

In Finland using spacers of any kind is considered highly illegal (excluding the ones made by the car manufacturer or alloy wheel manufacturer).

Following wheels have already been confirmed to fit over AP calipers, but is there any more of them?

Seat Aera - 7Jx17 ET43 CB57.1 PCD 5x100 (6J0601025F, from Ibiza 6J)
Seat Sira - 7Jx17 ET43 CB57.1 PCD 5x100 (6J0601025J, from Ibiza 6J)
Seat Cupra (Ronal Arrasate) - 7Jx17 ET41 CB57.1 PCD 5x100 (6LL601025, from Ibiza 6L)
Audi Avus - 7.5Jx17 ET32 CB57.1 PCD 5x100 (8N0601025AA, from TT 8N)
Audi TT Comp. - 7.5Jx17 ET32 CB57.1 PCD 5x100 (8N0601025H, from TT 8N)

Thanks

Consider using the Golf/TT 312mm cast iron caliper instead

It does not look so pretty but it will be easier to maintain and last longer.

As it is a one sided sliding caliper it does not stick out so far .. hence a lot more wheels will fit on .. even aftermarket ones.

Yeah, my Cupra has these calipers as standard.
I just hate them.

Anyone knows if Ibiza FR alloys fit over those AP Calipers?
They are also made by Ronal and their offset is the same.

The inner side of the spokes also seem to have similar shape as in Cupra alloys.

Getting quite desperate :(

Ibiza fr facelift 2007 wheels wont fit over AP-racing calibers. OZ alleggerita HLT wheels with ET35 will fit over AP-cacing calibers.

Ferryman,
Speaking from AP calliper experience I'd honestly like you to consider the Audi TT 312mm brakes, or even the brembo's

The AP callipers are ****, Amazing at braking, Amazing at looks but finding wheels that fit however reduce their awesomeness by about 310%

If I had a choice I'd get Audi 312mm or Brembo's the AP Callipers are too big and limit your selection of wheels too much!
Offsets help however the spokes need to be Out from the rim (Dish wheels are a no no) and the wheels I bought had the right offset but the callipers fouled the spokes

Since Ibiza Cupras are almost as rare as the unicorns (no chance finding a second hand alloy), I will start hunting down those Audi S3 / TT 6-spoke alloys. They are atleast quaranteed fit. Unless I get a good deal for Ibiza 6J Sira alloys ;)

Just to add.. Not my wheels, just tried them on to see if they fit, and they will with a small spacer.

I've got a set of the TT six spokes that fit actually, its because the ET is fairly low and they stick out a fair bit... most people go up another inch to 18's but 17's ride nicer.

Looks good rod, bet they rub like a bugger though! Hoping to get a set of them off my mate for winters, any full car pics for an idea?

I have changed the car quite a bit since these pics! i got 205 tyres on the front and lowered it 10 mm and i have 15 mm spacers on the rear

the rear rubs quite a bit and at the moment it is stripped out!! i think i am going to wack 205s on the back when i get the seats back in!

Was going to say! My old wheels were et35 17x7.5 so similar spec as yours but yours stick out 3mm more due to et32 and mine used to rub sometimes with 195 tyres on!

Ye it is a pain, but rarely have ppl in the back of my car! i would love some pimping wheels like yours tho mate! i like both your new and your old ones! wish i had money to buy a set!

will post up a pic of mine with the spacers and lowered too! looks much better!
