Had our 1.9 reference sport diesel serviced today .. 07 plate 20k service .. we had a price given to us a few weeks ago for £192 .. anyway received a phone call saying as the car is 2 yrs old in march do we want the brake fluid done?.. £50 odd plus vat and also the pollen filter was dirty although its not due until the 40k service.so i've declined both.
Does this sound right ... incidently £192 for an oil and filter change with a screenwash top up is a rip off .. only £10 cheaper than my Megane R26 service

yep sounds like a ripoff too me. though what labour are they charging for? 2hrs by the looks of it, 60 quid an hour.

a few years back I paid 98 for 1 year service and 103 for second year service (Leon TDI mk1) inc brake fluid change. though i had to shop about as dealers were charging all different rates.

Near Richmond, North Yorks
I get mine serviced locally (North Yorks) for about £80 for that particular service. And a brake fluid change costs about £20.

And that's at a VW dealership. Seat dealers will price match if you dare them to, but I prefer my VW dealer as I went there before with my 2 previous VW Boras.

Getting my TDI Ref Sport 56 (07) 20k serviced on Friday.

All in should be £165 at JKM in Portsmouth. This is £50 cheaper than Main dealer.

Did you mention that the car was 07 model year car as they SEAT re-structured their servicing prices for MY 2007 cars.

Will let you know the outcome at the weekend/next week.

Well got the TDI Ref Sport done on Friday at www.jkm.org.uk and in total the sevice came out cheaper than quoted. Was £140 all in, but after you added in new wiper blades that put it back to just over the original quote of £165.

I was then told that three of the four tyres where on 1mm and the other on 2mm. So it was time to shop around for some new rubber. Thought I might need some as was getting rather noisy, but was hopeful might last until the the new year.

Anyway got 4 x Falken 912's fitted, balanced and alignment check all in for £ 250.

What a difference, so much quieter.

I've had my 2007 2.0 TDI 20K serviced today at Liverpool SEAT - cost £175 all in but was worth it I reckon as we got a loan new shape Ibiza for the day, pick up and drop off of our car and the loan car and our car cleaned/valeted as well!
