Hi mate, you getting the water sitting on cill/rubber then?
If not could be bulk head if not or the engine loom cover (uses the same seal)

hello mr evans, long time no speak:D
yes the water is resting on the sill and when i open the door it floods out:( but i can see where it is seeping over the rubber and into the footwell(it also doesnt help that my drive is on a angle!)

Thanks for the pics mate, might be an idea if i get the same problem in the back.

Cheers... let us know how well it works after some rain which im sure you wont need to wait long for ;)

:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf: That looks horrible i would no way do that to the seals.

i just made sure the holes in the door were clear and took the door seal of and cleaned it and that worked.

done all 4 doors with the cuts and the rear wiper is now a fabia one. Dont care if it looks poop to be honest, re the door seals as long as i dont get any leaks im happy.

Hope you all will report back with findings whether negative or positive?

Also can someone, whilst moving, see if there is a draught that enters the cabin from the slits :)

Lee, I blasted them with a high pressure hose and nothing came in, you could see 2 lines running down the sill, exactly where the slits were, no noise from the outside either after drying the car off on the motorway after i washed it, no wet feet while opening the door either, from what i saw , no water was sat on the sills. will report back in a week as we're due some rain being up norf!

the aesthetics leave a lot to be desired , however function over form in this case, you only see it when you open the door and then its covered. Remind me if I havent updated it next week.

exactly what i said when i mentiond how i cured it
lee may i plz have your crown as god pls lol

sorry to you all for my crapness with the pics though

yes it looks naff but id rather this than have the car stinking of damp, going out 10 mins early in the morning drying the inside of the mindows and scraping them in winter (iv been there), not getting wet feet when i open the door and not having newts making them self at home lol
no extra noise and no drafts, the seal on the door its self goes over the slit and more or les stops it but wont push up to tight on the slit so the water just runs away

balls to 200 quid to seat and balls to any other fixing tape and sealent lol
