didnt on the cupra after i dryed it all out
started to get a bit of a steamy boot window but found water in the boot so thats my next fix but up till monday of this week no issues, even tested it with buckets of water and all seems fine

i cut all the wy through the rubber both top and bottome layers other wise it will just sit there and find its way back in to the car
when i get home i will try and get a propper pic of mine

i dont get wet feet when i open the door, the water doest sit in there any more

Started working on my car and already back on the forums asking for help.
Well i say started im stuck at the first part of trying to remove the handle???

What do i use as a screw driver will mash the plastic up right? What should i use? Some thing flat to get between the middle of the plastic the leaver up??? Any helpful hits please?

Use a thin screwdriver underneath where the two halfs join. when enough use your fingers or something else to pull them apart.

i've been having issues with my car filling up and steaming up inside. I attacked it the other week and dried it all out or so i thought. But t kept steaming up so i pulled the trim off in the back and pulled the carpet up. Even though the carpet was dry the thick insulation underneith was drenched. when i lifted that i had half an inch of water sat in the bottom of my car. so it ended up with the seats out so i could get the insulation out. I had to cut it with a stanley where it went over the tunnel in the middle. But if your car is still steaming up or smells damp its probably because its carring its body weight in water around with it!

Right seal trimmed and carpet vaxed.

Will see how we get on. Wash the car after modifying the seal. Blasted it with the hose and tipped several buckets of water over the drivers door. So far so good.

What a long day, managed to get the seals done without to much trouble, hardest part was trying to take off the door handles which Lee helped me with
Then spend most of the time pulling up the carpet and sponging up about a 3 pints worth of water up which was not much fun as its really soaked in... but will try and dry out with one of those Dehumidifier.

Thanks to all for the help, saved me lots of money by not taking it down the dealer to be fixed. Also made that end of the day pint down the pub even more deserving / sweeter

Removing handle with plastic bike tyre leaver and flat-head screw driver

Door trim off

Old foam Seal not really sticking and perished as you go along towards speaker

Lack of seal under speaker, can fit screw driver between

Removed Old Seal and cleaned up ready for new seal.

New Seal Cord

Job Done!

well i'm gonna be busy tomorrow looking at this not only have i got to lower my mates cupra and do his do his sills i have to do mine to now.!!!! i think i have a few frogs on lilly pads in the pond in my 2 rear footwells nothing in the front though.?

Its not just seats this happend to!! heard of this on golfs fabias etc just a silly vag design i think
