AMD or REVO remap?

Hi all,
Looking to map the LCR.
By that time it should be sporting a Badger5 TIP, Green Filter and a Cat Back Exhaust from Custom Pipes in Doncaster.
Short list down to AMD and REVO.
Due in part to proximity to my place, race pedigree, renowned in the industry on the VW Audi engines
All a consideration.
Who on here has either map? Be nice to hear your thoughts.
I hear Revo maps are aggressive from low down revs. Does this then drop off earlier than others?
Is AMD the same or more progressive?
If anyone can shed some light on this subject I'd be grateful.
Additionally is it possible to have launch control mapped in on a stage one?
Thanks
Sparkie.

Need that cat taking off or you will kill it with launch control.
Just remember that if "they" find a fault with the car they will either one fix it or two cancel to tune for another day....so remember to take extra cash because there maybe some thing wrong with it that you just don't know about.

Cheers Andrew. So no launch control, as not into all that fuss for MOT etc.
Will take cards. Thanks for that.
Also going in to my mechanic for new headlights, horn reversal( as it beeps like noddy's car right now )
Sparks, oil and a health check.
I'll sort all faults first.
Worth putting a forge diverted valve o too right?

Stock dv is cheap (£35 tps) and good quality.
Will hold stage 2 boost no problem.
Coil packs maybe an issue and are quite expensive.

I've just replaced my DV with a stock one, there are cars running HUGE power out there and still running the stock DV.

They work well so no need to change to anything else.

I like the "fit and forget" with stock.
No fuss that's why I went the stock route, and of course the price tag.

Ok thank you both. Good to know. Thought the original part wasn't up to the job. Hence all the after market stuff. Resul, as money can be spent elsewhere.

It's a flip of a coin between Revo or APR there both brilliant.

I've chosen Revo for my many years and had no issues, how ever I was advised to have low boost setting for my cars clutch and went for high boost instead (knowing Revo like there torque) go great figures but sadly my 10 month old cupras clutch started slipping after 6 month of it, I did intend to uprate it for stage 2+ so I did want to kill the OEM stock clutch anyway

Planning on going in to AMD for Cobra cat back and half price stage 1 map in august, will have a TIP, JR cone and stock DV. May get some of these red coils from awesome gti that everyone's always banging on about as a back up. 05 LCR on 116K miles still running well.

AmD tuning in Essex have been running a deal, I rang up and they said they will be doing it for the foreseeable future... perhaps till the end of the year. Buy exhaust and fitting, get half price map.

What do they want for both with the discount buddy?
It's another option. Save a drive to Doncaster.
I've heard good and bad about Cobra. Some last and apparently some don't?

I think cobra system is 350 fitted and map would have been 300 but will now be 150 so £500 all together. I've heard miltek is too quiet and i want to take advantage of the deal. Cant say I've ever heard that, I think there is positive and negative aspects to just about everything. Mostly positive on here, nothing about falling apart i dont think. If you go with AMD you'll have to let me know how you got on.

Wow almost too good to pass up. Now you've put a spanner in the works.
Do they sound nice?as the one I was going to fit sounds great without being offensive. I have one on my Cupra. I like a good exhaust note. Mine sounds superb on over run too.
But that deal is really good.
Oh decisions decisions !,
