annoying droaning noise

started to notice an annoying droaning noise coming from my rear wheels. I've stripped the brakes down, greased up all the bearings, but the noise is still there. So I swapped my wheels, rear to front. The noise is slightly better, but still there. Any ideas? The tyres are nexen on the front (which were on the rear), & the rears are millenium, (which were on it when I bought the car). cheers

it could be cos when i took the offside hub off, the bering was stuck to the stub axle

will be the bearings m8 , on my ond 1.4 they got so bad , the drums ended up red hot lol i just changed mine on my gti , 14 quid each side , easy enuff job

does that include the bearing behind the drum & the one behind the hub nut?

well mine has discs , but yes it does . i done them on my 1.4 ibiza years ago whith drums .

yeah that will be the wheel bearings! I changed mine two days ago I can actually hear stuff now!
