Anthracite wheels on black LCR

I know a few people like EmDee have dark wheels on black Leon but what do you think of anthracite? Not as overkill as black, but not grey either.

I good refurb place said they can strip and paint the wheels black, then a coat of anthracite for a good price. Booked in tomorrow

mate im in the same situation as you, i have some rather badly curbed TT alloys and i'm currently trying to decide what colour to go for next i did think anthracite would be a good choice but i'm not sure if it will make the car look too modded and less classy if you know what i mean.

so i need some direction and opinions 2!!

Check EmDee's, different wheels I know but it definately looks cool. I was'nt sure about anthracite with black until I saw this. (Emdee's pic by the way, hope he does'nt mind).

Sorry about the slow reply, mate. The colour is Lechler GR6047 and it's a VW Grey.

Is anthracite (spelling?!!) a generic colour or are there different colours/codes that come under the 'anthracite' range ?

I went to www.wheelclinic.org.uk/ and asked for anthracite. They came out with four or five rings that each had at least 30 different shades.

That's my car...but it's a photoshop with the colour I wanted.

There are hundreds of shades of Anthracite, but feel free to borrow my photoshop image as any good refurbishers can match any colour you give them. I will have my car back today so later I will get some picks up of what it actually looks like done.

ah ok, some pics would be great. Was worried the darker colour would make the wheels look small but it doesn't really.

So anyone with anthracite wheels out there... Are they a pain to keep clean ? as in do they look dirty very easily due to the grey 'similar to brake dust' colour ?
